Buy 2000 armor first, then 2000 war hammer; buy cheaper ones later to beef up ratings. Ignore Sirens and Chests if you can resist. More unsolved quests give you more roads to farm and save from. Quests>ambushes>wins>go home and save; repeat. Have fun slaughtering your foes and getting rich!
This is a really, REALLY fun game!!! ***Start off on simple one-star quests... fight and gain glory and gold, then return to town and save; repeat quests, never reaching the end (except it's OK to see the Butcher) before returning to town and saving. Spend 3-pieces of gold on apples bought only from stinky boy and 100-gold pieces for the long life potions from the witch... much cheaper than in town... then save excess gold until 2000 BEFORE BUYING ANY ARMOR OR SWORDS!

on level 4 you already get the heavyweight champions like elf and troll - no chance , no money (for the courtesan) - fucking annoying fighting the Ryback-troll . . .
