Shann, in this game, as well as a lot of other rpg maker games, this is caused by right clicking or hitting ctrl, which causes the dialogue box to disappear and reappear
Dude, we can just see the top of the dialogue box, but not the text in it as the game is bigger than the frame it is in. (Zooming in or out does not alter this, the game is still larger than the frame.)

i tried f4 and could get some of the dialogue. if you go to classic gamcore you can zoom out and get the full screen.
