Because exploration is the majority of the side characters before the change in chapter, here are the ones of note. D.Forest: (W,W,N), (S,S,S), (N,E,N), and the story required (W,N,E). Downtown has (mostly) the same points of interest in both, but dark is linked with a specific side quest to avoid duds. (WWW), (WWS), (WSW), (SWS), (SSW), (ESE), and (EEN). Dark Downtown only adds (EEE).
