This game IS entirely dependant on RNG. But it doesn't matter THAT much, mid to late game you have so much stuff you won't need to worry, and as long as you're not a complete idiot early game you'll likely pass 90% of the time. In fact the RNG is slightly in your favor early game, not by much tho.
As far as i can tell this game is entirely up to RNG, if you get unlucky and dont find any food you lose, slowly without being able to do much without getting very lucky.
