Me, you might need a ladder for that. You can find this outside your new house. When you have the ladder, it will give you the option to peek over the fence at the old house.

Captain camera, you can buy a hammer at the supermarket. As soon as your strength is 10, it will give you the option to destroy the lock on the bathroom door, allowing you to check on Sarah when she's in the bathroom.
