Expand the story, make gameplay something like a cross between Subnautica and Life is Strange, and in addition to the story expansion, extend the in game time period a little so it's over weeks or months instead of days (the expanded story would do that anyway). Do that and I think this could make for a pretty solid mainstream game. And just for the hell of it could add character customization.
Direnthius, I think you're vastly underestimating how much work it is to make a game like that.
Direnthius, You are talking about games that spent millions and had dozens of people involved lmfao. Subnautica at 1.0 spent 10 million and had 207 people working on the game. Though I can't find Satisfactory budet trust me I'm sure it was in the millions. And they have 40+ workers. Not only would you need funds plus the manpower you would have to pretty much start over with the game. This was made as a browser game.
Direnthius, And I forgot 1 major aspect. The years it takes to develop a mainstream game. The average is 3-5 years and that is for companies that don't start from scratch, Already have assets from previous games and hundreds of devs working on it.
One of the best storytelling games. The mystery, thrill, and characters. Easily 9 out of 10 as a game overall. Great work!

This game has an excellent beginning, it gives you a solid story plot point to get you invested in the story pretty much right out of the gate while still giving you plenty of choice - many similar games seem to struggle with that even if they are well made or better made overall. Very well done! If you like a bit of mystery I think you'll like the game.
