View all commentsI think the combat system has gotten worse, there is little strategy involved as you never know what the AI will do on the next turn so it's mostly luck-based, I reckon a good way to keep the three bars system would be to implement different types of attacks in something similar to Fire Emblem. If not strategy-based, then I guess an alternative could be to implement a skill-based minigame, but I feel as though that is not very fitting with the game and may very easily overcomplicate it.

Going for a critical view here. The illustrations are lovely and show real skill, but there are too few of them. Too much dialogue is being used to replace what the illustrations should depict. The writing should be toned down to make way for more art.
And, the combat sucks. Too much luck and little strategy. Maybe, I'm too stupid to figure it out, but I couldn't beat Beli. I'd replace it with a rock-paper-scissors approach and have the animations give clues on what to counter with.
Fab2Fun, art is difficult, I think we should be patient as the game is still being developed and the mechanics established properly - I am not sure about what the team behind this looks like, but I doubt they have many resources, so it's better to keep that in mind
